Hangin’ Out #4
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…!
I made a li’l snowman,
As perfect as can be.
I thought I’d keep it as a pet,
And let it sleep with me.
I gave it some pajamas,
And a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away…
But first it wet the bed!
Build a Snowman
Winter is finally here! I’ve been waiting for it all year! 😉 The fact that the COVID-19 lockdowns kept us indoors during the scorching summer made me so ready for the crisp and chilly vibes of winter to fall upon us. With all that excitement, the very first thing I did was head up to Big Bear to indulge in all the snow! I made pasta carbonara with minced wagyu beef and a ton of garlic, partnered with a delicious glass of Suntory Whiskey on the rocks. That was on day one. On day two we took the adventure outdoors to have some fun in the snow.
Recommendation: if coming from Los Angeles, take CA-330 N toward Big bear for a more scenic experience.
Cool Fact:
“It is estimated that approximately 1 million billion snowflakes fall every second on earth!”
Espresso Martini
Espresso coffee was first served in Italy, where the espresso machine was patented in 1884. The Espresso Martini cocktail was created in 1983 by Dick Bradsell for a customer who allegedly asked for something that would “wake her up, & f*** her up”. Cheers to that!
INGREDIENTS
fresh Espresso Coffee, 1 oz
Vodka, 2 oz
KALUHA COFFEE LIQUEUR, 2 oz
Creme de Cacao LIQUEUR, 1 oz
ICE
Coffee Beans to garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Ice down a glass and set it off to the side.
- Bring out the shaker and fill half way with ice.

Inspiration can come at any time, dictating the genre, the tempo and the journey of one’s music. There is no right or wrong. It’s ultimately all about the feeling and expressions that those beats, vocals and even snares may ignite in you… whenever, wherever and however. I’m excited to listen to the upcoming evolution of sounds that I expect so many artists to have developed as a result of the COVID pandemic lockdowns and quarantines.
Although we may be social distancing, that doesn’t mean we can’t make the best of our time indoors. Every night should be a memorable night! So shake up some smiles with those close to you.
